Preliminary kinematic result of a sheep specific 3D printed TMJ prosthesis

Enthesis reconstruction (lateral pterygoid tendon reattachment via bone in the prosthetic lattice structure) evidenced in CTscan

Normal rumination with proper lateral mandibular movements through lateral pterygoid muscle function (before and 9 months after joint replacement) Fine-tuning for predictable boney reattachment in humans is ongoing. However, the first clinical results are similar to those in 13 sheep!
